Named after ‘Suna’ the live Tenkile Tree Kangaroo that was captured by members of Tolgete village and held in captivity at TCA Base for about 6 weeks before being released back to the wild where she came from. Her time in captivity helped us measure how many times she does a poo in a day! This then helps us measure how many Tenkile there are left in the wild, and our research shows that the numbers are increasing from only 100 back in 2002 -- to over 300 today!
